Microsoft announced its immediate withdrawal from its board observer seat, while Apple did not participate in the observer seat. OpenAI will stay in touch with partners and investors through regular meetings. A spokesperson for OpenAI said: We thank Microsoft for its trust in the board and the direction of the company, and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership. OpenAIs eight-member board includes Sam Altman as well as former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers and Instacart CEO Fidji Simo. Its board is chaired by Bret Taylor, former co-CEO of Salesforce and co-founder of AI startup Sierra. (Financial Times)
