Odaily News Canadian digital asset custodian Balance established Balance Trust Company as a special purpose trust under the Loan and Trust Corporations Act in Alberta this week. The trust is associated with a patent certificate issued by the Alberta Fiscal Board and Ministry of Finance (ATBF), and Balance has pledged to provide $10 million in regulatory capital to the new wholly-owned subsidiary to become a qualified Canadian and U.S. custodian.
