Coinbase-affiliated Stand With Crypto begins positioning for the U.S. midterm elections, with Senate candidate endorsement list to be announced soon

Odaily News: Stand With Crypto, a cryptocurrency advocacy initiative led by Coinbase, has announced its formal endorsement of 32 House candidates, including both Democratic and Republican nominees. Among those endorsed are pro-crypto lawmakers such as Republican Representatives Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga, as well as Democratic Representatives Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer.

The organization stated that it will release its list of Senate candidate endorsements as the U.S. midterm elections approach. The move comes as the Senate prepares to return to Washington next month for its first vote on the CLARITY Act (a crypto market structure bill). The legislation aims to further clarify the digital asset regulatory framework by delineating the respective responsibilities of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in overseeing the crypto market.

Coinbase launched Stand With Crypto in 2023 with the goal of mobilizing pro-crypto voters and advocating for more favorable digital asset regulatory policies in the United States. (Reuters)
