Curve founder clarifies misinformation surrounding UwU Lend hack and CRV token destruction

2024/06/16 19:14

Odaily News Michael Egorov, founder of Curve Finance (CRV), explained the recent UwU Lend hack that the incident did not exploit Curve Finance itself, clarifying: This is not a Curve vulnerability, this is an exploit of a separate project (UwU Lend). He explained that the hacker deposited CRV taken from UwU into Curves LlamaLend platform and then disappeared with the funds, leaving his debt in the system. Egorov emphasized measures to prevent future exploits, suggesting that UwU Lend revalidate all contracts and work with a good security auditor in order to recover losses. (cointelegraph)
