Odaily News Ava Labs engineering director Patrick OGrady posted on the X platform that nodes need to be upgraded to AvalancheGo v1.11.1. This version disables the logic added in v1.10.18 that caused the validators to send too many gossips to each other. The Avalanche validator provides a stake-weighted allocation of bandwidth to each peer, and this flawed logic results in each nodes allocation being filled with useless transaction gossip. This dynamic prevents pull queries issued by validators from being processed in a timely manner and causes consensus to stall.
