Odaily news chain game company Proof of Play issued an article introducing a multi-chain system based on the Arbitrum Orbit technology stack, in conjunction with the on-chain game engine developed by the company. This multi-chain system is designed to provide optimized support for real-time full-chain gameplay and decentralized applications that can be extended to Internet scale. Over the past 15 months, Proof of Play has not only successfully built and expanded its flagship full-chain game Pirate Nation (including hundreds of smart contracts), but also secretly developed a technology stack and game engine to be announced. In the coming days, Pirate Nation will become the first full-chain game to run on its dedicated mainnet after migrating to a multi-chain system. After the migration, Pirate Nations gameplay will be based on a multi-chain system, and Founders Pirates NFT will continue to be stored on Ethereum L1, enabling the games cross-chain functionality, thanks to the companys mirroring solution. Proof of Play has spent the past year creating the building blocks to achieve this goal: its gas-free solution supports seamless transitions between networks, and mirroring capabilities allow player assets to exist on any network. Proof of Play believes that this model is the future development direction of on-chain games and will make on-chain games indistinguishable from their off-chain counterparts in terms of user experience, speed and scale. Although Proof of Plays on-chain framework is portable, the company chose to partner with Arbitrum to initially launch the first on-chain games on its Orbit technology stack.
