Earlier reports stated that SBF plans to argue in the October trial that its previous actions, such as providing funds to FTX and Alameda executives, setting Signal messages to automatically delete, and establishing a series of North American entities, were all done in "good faith" following the advice of its lawyers, including the law firm Fenwick & West.

SBF's defense team released a letter on Wednesday, outlining its proposed "lawyer advice" strategy, stating that it would provide evidence to demonstrate the involvement of in-house counsel and the law firm Fenwick & West in reviewing and approving decisions related to these matters.

The letter states, "Defendant's reliance on lawyer evidence is relevant to issues of intent and is not limited to the defense's ability to prove that the Defendant formally sought legal advice, accepted legal advice, and followed the advice provided."
