Bitcoin Futures Open Interest Reaches $54.82 Billion, September Option Max Pain Concentrated in the $70,000–$73,000 Range
Odaily News: Total Bitcoin futures open interest stands at 695,020 BTC, valued at $54.82 billion, down 0.26% over the past hour, down 0.38% over the past 4 hours, but still up 1.15% over the past 24 hours. Binance holds 142,500 BTC, worth $11.24 billion, accounting for 20.5%.
In Deribit Bitcoin options open interest, call options account for 288,409.93 BTC, or 60.89%; put options account for 185,234.42 BTC, or 39.11%. Over the past 24 hours, put option volume accounted for 54.49%, with 12,380.77 BTC traded, higher than the 10,339.78 BTC traded in call options.
Data from Deribit, Binance, and OKX shows that on September 25, the options max pain point is concentrated near the $70,000–$73,000 range. At 19:00 EST on August 30, the spot price of Bitcoin was $78,425, with futures positions still at elevated levels. (Bitcoin.com News)
