Report: U.S.-Iran talks may see breakthrough, Iran willing to discuss nuclear issues
Odaily News: According to Bloomberg, a diplomat familiar with the negotiations revealed that the United States and Iran are gradually approaching a potential breakthrough to end the war, with Tehran showing willingness to discuss nuclear program-related issues that it had previously been unwilling to address.
The diplomat stated that Iran is studying a proposal concerning its nuclear activities put forward by the main mediator, Qatar. If Iran makes concessions on this issue, it could push the negotiations toward significant progress. The relevant talks have been stalled since the interim peace agreement reached by both sides in June collapsed. U.S. President Trump recently held a phone call with Qatari leaders to discuss efforts to ease regional tensions, indicating that Trump hopes to end this war, which was also one of the important backdrops for the Democrats' victory over the Republicans in this week's U.S. midterm elections.
