Odaily News, Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister Gharibabadi issued a statement stating that security in the Persian Gulf region should be jointly maintained by countries in the region, and Iran advocates resolving regional security issues without interference from external forces. Gharibabadi pointed out that Iran has submitted and documented to the UN Security Council evidence of some attacks originating from foreign territories against Iran, including a small number of direct attacks. He also stated that based on current information, regional countries have deeply realized that the expansion of conflict and the continuation of military operations will pose a serious threat to their own security.
