Former Intel Director Lip-Bu Tan Joins Bitcoin Miner Maker Auradin’s Board of Directors

Odaily News Semiconductor industry veteran Lip-Bu Tan resigned from Intel's board of directors last year and has now joined Auradin, a US bitcoin mining chip design company, as a director.
Tan is the founder and chairman of venture capital firm Walden International and the founding managing partner of Celesta Capital and Walden Catalyst. He serves on the boards of several companies, including SambaNova Systems, Schneider Electric, and Credo Technology. He is also the former CEO of Cadence Design Systems.
In April last year, Bitcoin mining machine manufacturer Auradine announced the completion of US$80 million in Series B financing, with participation from StepStone Group, Top Tier Capital Partners, MVP Ventures, Maverick Capital, Celesta Capital, Mayfield Fund and Marathon Digital. It is reported that this round of financing was in the form of a mixture of equity and debt, with a valuation of more than US$500 million.
