CZ: Bitcoin Will Eventually Become More Important Than Gold, But Major Powers Need Time to Shift

Odaily Planet Daily News: At the Bitcoin Asia 2026 conference, CZ stated:

"I believe Bitcoin will definitely become more important than gold. Yes, I think we need to understand today that major powers will take many years to make this shift. They already have mechanisms in place to value and hold gold—an entire framework exists. It will take time for them to transition to Bitcoin, or to crypto assets, but this will definitely happen. Bitcoin itself is a far superior asset compared to gold.

I think there is a very small possibility that something better than Bitcoin could replace it—for example, another digital currency growing faster than Bitcoin and surpassing it before Bitcoin overtakes gold. Based on everything we see today, the probability of that happening is quite low. I believe Bitcoin will soon overtake gold. Right now, there is only about a 10-fold gap between them, so who knows—maybe it will happen in the next bull run."
