Equation.com founder Vida sells nearly $7 million in put options, most of which will expire in one month
Odaily Planet Daily reported that Vida posted on platform X today, saying that they sold nearly $7 million in put options, most of which will be exercised in one month. They stated that the current decline in the storage sector has at least reached an emotional limit, and the implied volatility of storage stocks is at an all-time high percentile; AI-related demand continues, and the fundamentals have not changed. Regarding selling options at "prices that are difficult to trade" rather than prices close to the current market price, Vida said they prefer lower risk and more stable returns. Citing the MU 660 put option expiring in one month as an example, they said that selling 15 contracts now could immediately yield a profit of $47,000. If MU falls below 660 in one month and triggers a settlement, they will buy them for $1 million.
