Korean KOSPI closes nearly 6% lower, Japanese and Korean stocks end Friday in the red

Odaily Planet Daily News Japanese and Korean stock markets closed on Friday. The Nikkei 225 index fell 3005.46 points, a drop of 4.15%, to 69360.88 points. The Korean KOSPI index fell 519.1 points, a drop of 5.81%, to 8411.2 points, having fallen nearly 9% during the session; SK Hynix closed down over 8%, and Samsung Electronics fell over 5%.
