UAE plans to invest $6.3 billion to build AI data center in Japan

Odaily Planet Daily News The UAE is evaluating an investment in Japan, planning to invest up to 1 trillion yen (approximately $6.3 billion) to build an artificial intelligence data center. The project is being led by Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Mubadala Investment Co., with the site selected in Akita Prefecture in northern Japan, with a planned installed capacity of 500 megawatts. Other domestic and international investors may be brought in to participate in the future. The news has not been publicly disclosed, and project details are still under evaluation. (Bloomberg)
