US Parties Still No Closer to Agreement on CLARITY Act
According to journalist Eleanor Terrett, Senate Majority Leader John Thune has filed a cloture motion regarding a motion to advance college sports-related legislation. This move is seen as an indication that bipartisan consensus on the CLARITY Act, which concerns the regulatory framework for the crypto industry, has yet to be reached.
Previously, the market anticipated that Congress would push for progress on the CLARITY Act, aiming to provide a clearer legal framework for issues such as digital asset market structure and regulatory jurisdiction. However, the latest developments show that divisions remain within the Senate.

Industry News
The US Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that Taj Tarsha, the founder of NFT marketplace project Few and Far, has been formally indicted on charges of securities fraud and wire fraud. Prosecutors allege that he raised investment funds through false statements and used a portion of the funds for personal purposes, including gambling and lavish spending. The indictment documents show that after a 2023 company audit revealed abnormal fund usage, Tarsha allegedly provided misleading explanations to investors, claiming the expenditures were in line with project development needs, and continued to maintain the facade of project operations. Subsequently, most employees of Few and Far left, and project development largely came to a halt.

Circle CFO: No Plans to Introduce Quarterly Dividends at This Time
During tonight's earnings call, Circle CFO Jeremy Fox-Geen responded to a question about "whether there are plans to introduce quarterly dividends in the near term": "No, we don't have such a plan. Let me provide some context. As the world evolves from traditional systems to a new generation of internet financial services built on blockchain technology, we face a tremendous opportunity to become a leading internet platform company. As we've consistently emphasized, we want to maintain a strong balance sheet to ensure we can continue investing in this opportunity regardless of market cycles, while also positioning ourselves to seize major opportunities as they arise. Therefore, we firmly believe that preserving a strong balance sheet is the right approach, and we believe that investing capital in the platform will generate higher returns for shareholders than paying out quarterly dividends."
