Hyperliquid HIP-4 to Support Permissionless Deployment of Outcome Markets, Up to 50% Fee Split
Hyperliquid stated that HIP-4 will enable permissionless deployment in a future network upgrade, first on testnet, then mainnet. Similar to spot and token deployment, HIP-4 technology requires thorough testing in a validator deployment environment before expanding to permissionless deployment. The staking requirement for HIP-4 deployers is 500,000 HYPE. If market definitions are unclear, settlements do not comply with template rules, or remain unsettled for over a week, validators may vote to slash the stake.
Like HIP-3, deployers' stakes will be locked for six months. To unstake, deployers must settle all markets. HIP-4 deployers will be able to set a fee split of up to 50% on deployed markets, with fee configuration features rolling out as a subsequent function.
