TyphoonCashX
Award page: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/typhooncashx-p10yd
Keywords: zero-knowledge proof, cross-chain
TyphoonCashX is a privacy-focused cross-chain protocol that allows anyone to bridge any ERC-20 native tokens on any EVM-compatible chain in an anonymous manner.
TyphoonCashX utilizes zero-knowledge proofs to create a privacy layer for its cross-chain mixer, extending the vision of the well-known mixer application Tornado Cash. In terms of the process, during the deposit phase, TyphoonCashX generates off-chain identity proofs for users using the Sismo protocol, which qualifies them to claim funds on another chain. During the bridging phase, TyphoonCashX utilizes the Hyperlane protocol to broadcast messages from the originating chain to all other chains, preventing various attacks. During the withdrawal phase, the protocol verifies the identity proofs of the relevant addresses, which, when verified, will be removed from the registry and receive funds at the output address.
Kinetex Light Clients
Award page: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/kinetex-light-clients-mmr-uvzr1
Keywords: cross-chain
Kinetex plans to launch a decentralized cross-chain solution that is different from existing bridging protocols.
Kinetex suggests a reimagined approach to liquidity circulation by proposing to shift control to a decentralized market instead of relying on a vulnerable liquidity pool. In this market, users can create cross-chain trading orders, and professional verifiers assume the risk of managing the transactions while collecting certain fees. Kinetex believes that this solution can foster a truly decentralized market where verifiers need to compete for the opportunity to serve users.
Kinetex also mentions that Kinetex Light Clients will solve the high gas consumption issue of cross-chain transactions by enabling batch processing. This solution allows users and verifiers to directly engage in peer-to-peer transactions without waiting for or relying on validators, thus significantly optimizing gas consumption.
Kinetex's solution is built on Hashi adapters, which the team has developed specifically for various cross-chain messaging protocols such as Chainlink CCIP, Axelar, Hyperlane, and Zetachain. This enables Kinetex to support lightweight clients for many networks, including Ethereum, Gnosis, Polygon, Linea, Celo, and more.
Harpos
Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/harpos-0wpcc
Keywords: zero-knowledge proofs, social
Harpos has built a social network where users can choose to anonymously join using the Sismo protocol's zero-knowledge proofs and XMTP message protocol.
On this network, users can log in with Sismo's SSO and create a ZK proof to demonstrate their asset scale. Additionally, users can generate another ZK proof to demonstrate their social media influence (e.g., Twitter followers). Once in the network, users can search for other users based on their desired criteria (personal situation, asset scale, social media influence) and then engage in private conversations only with the desired matches (driven by XMTP).
In essence, Harpos aims to allow users to directly connect with like-minded individuals based on their chosen criteria while ensuring the authenticity of their contacts.
Bubbles
Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/bubbles-avp6o
Keywords: zero-knowledge proofs, social
Bubbles is a voice chat platform designed for on-chain communities.
Bubbles integrates four essential components to create a seamless and secure experience: First, Ethereum, allowing users to login with their Ethereum wallets. Second, Daily.co, providing Bubbles with a smooth and immersive voice communication environment. Third, the blockchain data indexer Airstack, enabling Bubbles to implement token access control, allowing only users holding relevant tokens to enter chat channels. Fourth, Sismo, through which Bubbles can verify user membership in specific data groups without revealing their real identities.
Stake Garden
Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/stake-garden-7tj7j
Keywords: DeFi, liquidity staking
Stake Garden is a self-managed portfolio of liquidity staking tokens, where users can decide the composition of liquidity staking tokens within the portfolio (e.g., choosing 50% stETH, 20% rETH, and others) to allocate earnings and manage risk, ensuring the safety and control of their staking exposure.
If users prefer not to create their own portfolios, Stake Garden also provides recommended allocation strategies that users can directly use.
Cypher Deposit
Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/cypher-deposit-cnhs5
Keywords: zero-knowledge proof, privacy
Cypher Deposit offers a novel privacy solution that allows individuals, businesses, and high-net-worth individuals to make anonymous transfers in a simple and secure manner, protecting their financial and transaction details.
The core feature of the Cypher Deposit solution is the use of ZKBOB technology to ensure the confidentiality and off-chain nature of transaction details. This guarantees the privacy of user financial activities and prevents tracking and monitoring by third parties.
Cypher Deposit also hosts a private HOPR container on Filecoin Bacalhau, providing secure access to the Optimism blockchain. This additional layer of security ensures the protection of user transactions, strengthening their financial privacy throughout the withdrawal process.
The front-end of Cypher Deposit is also hosted on the IPFS protocol to provide users with a transparent and trusted platform, retaining complete control over their financial assets.
Bob the Solver
Award page: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/bob-the-solver-yxtgp
Keywords: Account abstraction
Bob the Solver aims to be an "intent"-based transaction infrastructure integrated into wallets and decentralized applications. The project stems from a paradigm shift in the field of account abstraction, where the focus is not on precise transaction processes but on the end user's "intent".
"Intent" represents the desired outcome, while "transaction" outlines the precise steps required to perform the transaction. For example, a user intends to purchase an NFT on the Polygon network, which is a simple "intent", but the precise transaction may involve tasks such as swapping tokens, cross-chain operations, and purchasing, requiring a deep understanding of various blockchain knowledge.
Bob the Solver recognizes that users often have only the "intent" without the need for precise "transaction" details. The project aims to simplify the transaction process by accepting the user's "intent" and automatically formulating appropriate transactions and executing them on behalf of the user.
VoiceSense
Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/voicesense-yfzpq
Keywords: AI
VoiceSense aims to make Web3 more inclusive by reducing barriers to blockchain transactions.
Specifically, VoiceSense aims to provide convenience to anyone who finds voice input more convenient than manual text input, such as users with visual impairments or reading difficulties, enabling them to use voice as an input mechanism for Web3 activities. It also allows users to record input in their native language without having to write in other unfamiliar languages.
The operational logic of VoiceSense is to use artificial intelligence models running in the execution layer to convert voice input into text and map it to the fields required to create transactions. Then, a wallet connection is created to create and sign transactions on the chain.
Community-bound
Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/community-bound-y73ys
Keywords: DAO, governance
Community Bound Tokens (CBT) is a potential new token standard.
CBT can only be transferred within the community, and the community can determine their value assessment for certain actions, and distribute CBT as reputation points. Actions that can influence value assessment are preferably conducted on-chain, so that CBT can be automatically transferred to allocation targets through smart contracts. However, the community can also decide to allocate CBT points to activities in the real world based on certain criteria.
CBT will have many potential use cases within the community, such as being used as an evaluation criterion for community governance weight, or as a credit score for unsecured loans. In short, it can be used in any innovative way the community can think of.
