Services like Eigen Layer, which uses staked ETH to secure other protocols, have the potential to see huge growth as they open up a new avenue for validators to earn.
It offers greater capital efficiency and opens up countless new opportunities for validators who wish to take on additional risk and responsibility to earn more. Protocols like Rocket Pool may benefit from middleware like Eigen Layer, and validators may re-stake their ETH to Eigen Layer in the future if they want to earn extra income.

2. Optimism Bedrock Upgrade
Bedrock also supports using any proof system on top of Optimism, for example using ZK proofs.
3. crvUSD
If Optimism Rollup falls out of favor in the future, the ecosystem can seamlessly transition to a better solution instead of becoming obsolete.
There has been much speculation that CurveFinance's stablecoin, crvUSD, will launch in 2023. This will bring new revenue sources, novel liquidation mechanisms, etc. to the Curve ecosystem.
4. GHO
The projects that would benefit most from this are probably Curve, Convex, and Frax, since they all play important roles in Curve. One strategy I'm considering is to lock $CVX at 0xCLever for automatic compounding gains.
Along with Curve, AAVE also plans to launch its stablecoin $GHO in 2023. There has been speculation that a possible revamp of the tokenomics is possible, but this has yet to be confirmed.
5. Fantom
Unless there is more value directed to $AAVE token holders with the launch of $GHO, any immediate benefit is limited in my opinion.

While there are good projects on Fantom, many of them have inflationary token economics, making it difficult to hold long-term in this market.
If Fantom recovers, the native token $FTM and SpookySwap will gain some traction anyway.

One of the long-standing problems with AMMs is impermanent loss, which can erode LPs' positions if the price deviates from the starting position.
7. GameFi
Projects like GammaSwap and CVI are creating schemes where you can trade on volatility. This could lead to a new avenue for speculation and create a way to hedge against impermanent losses or major price movements.
I still think the GameFi project is one of the areas with the greatest growth potential in Crypto, but the main issues behind it are fragmented liquidity and lack of a central market.
In 2023, I will continue to delve deeper into the Treasure DAO and $Magic ecosystem, as I feel it has a decent chance of becoming the go-to destination for new projects at GameFi, and blockchains like ImmutableX are also worth keeping an eye on.

8. Liquid Collateralized Derivatives (LSD)
Having said that, the project in question has pulled up over the past few days and I personally wouldn't FOMO. Remember to do your own due diligence.
9. NFTFi
Liquid staking products I'm closely watching are Rocket Pool ($RPL) due to synergy with Eigenlayer, and frxETH from FraxFinance.
Contrary to what some might think, I think NFTs are here to stay, and products are being built to enable a new economy around NFTs. These examples are already in this field. Some projects provide perpetual transactions of NFTs, and some projects tokenize NFTs for speculation.
Right now, I'm doing more research on the GumBall Protocol, but there will be other new projects coming.

10. Rise of ZK
Many ZK Rollups will enter the full mainnet in 2023, such as zksync and StarkWare, and many more Rollups are waiting to enter the war.
