Arbitrum has been dubbed the home of GameFi in crypto, and over the past few months it has quickly become a hub for DeFi as well.
Here are 12 Arbi DeFi protocols I'm keeping a close eye on in 2023:
1. Buffer Finance
An options trading application with four timeframes to choose from: 5 m/15 m/1 hr/4 hr. People can stake $BFR and/or $BLP to earn real income from the fees incurred. Buffer aims to simplify options and let people enter the world of options.
2.CamelotDEX
Leading Arbitrum native DEX - launched in early December. Since launch, $15M in volume, $16M TVL, and self-funded by the community.
A DEX war is brewing on Arbitrum, and I'm keeping an eye on Camelot as the first mover.
3.Traderjoe (new to Arb)
The DeFi legend on AVAX now joins Arbitrum to provide liquidity. At its peak, its TVL was only a few percent less than the peak TVL of Arbitrum's entire chain. See what it can bring to Arbitrum.
4.Rage trade
ETH perpetual contracts with real returns, no tokens yet. It recently launched a GLP/Delta Neutral vault and has seen a 4x increase in TVL.
Memes and a united community, which we all know is the best indicator of a project's longevity. There's a lot to like about Rage.
5.Umami Finance
OG native protocol on Arbi, as many have said, UMAMI will be the biggest winner when the inevitable regulation comes.
6.GMX
GMX dominates the market in Arbitrum DeFi, accounting for nearly 40% of the total TVL.
I really want to know:
1. How to maintain this dominance?
2. How does it solve the fee problem?
3. If something happens to GMX, how will the $GLP network effect change?
Let's look forward to the situation of GMX in 2023.
7.PlutusDAO
Plutus is super fun. They have a large ve token supply: DPX ~13%, SPA ~41%, JONES ~49%.
Meaning that in most cases, they can influence governance votes in their favour, which in turn creates value for the holders and users of their ecosystem.
8.Dopex
Dopex is not an experimental product, it has been tested in the market and is still innovating. The TradFi options market is huge, and DOPEX is trying to capture some of it.
9.Orbitaldex
This is a DEX constructed from Dopex and PlutusDAO. I said there was a Dex war brewing on Arbitrum, and Orbital was going to take on Camelot.
10.STFX
Monetize your trades by creating a vault that others can invest in. If the trade is profitable, you will earn a performance fee, and those invested in the vault will receive a percentage of their profits.
If STFX can get more attention, it may have great development!
11.Perpy Finance
This is STFX's competitor to SocialFI and is currently in beta. In 2023, there will be Dex wars and SocialFi wars on Arbitrum, competition to make builders build better.
12.Vela Exchange
The new perpetual exchange is coming to Arbitrum, and the public beta will go live on January 18th. The project will explicitly airdrop to those who participate in the test. Looking forward to the upcoming marketing plan.
