Singapore-based Web3 game technology company Planetarium Labs announced the completion of US$32 million in Series A financing, led by Animoca Brands, Samsung Next, Krust Universe, the investment arm of South Korean technology giant Kakao, and South Korean video game developer WeMade.
Kijun Seo, co-founder of Planetarium Labs, said that this is the first fundraising for his company, and it is a round of equity financing. Seo said the company started funding earlier this year and closed the round last month.
According to Seo, Planetarium Labs was founded in 2018 and has grown with its own funds to provide “AZ tools” for building decentralized games. Its services include incubation, technical and launch support for Web3 game studios, with a primary focus on the community.
Seo said, “We are no longer just adding Play-to-Earn or NFT elements to games, but reimagining community-driven content and providing studios with powerful tools to engage deeply with players and investors.”
