Odaily reports: Ledger has released an investigation report on the hardware implant attack, stating that a highly organized criminal group purchased genuine Ledger devices over several months, disassembled them to implant custom hidden components designed to steal users' recovery seed phrases during device initialization, and then resold them through distribution channels in Southeast Asia. The attackers invested millions of dollars to build infrastructure for seed phrase collection, asset transfer, and money laundering, and coordinated their efforts to move victims' assets.
Ledger emphasized that this incident was not caused by vulnerabilities in the chip, operating system, or servers, but rather was a localized distribution channel attack that occurred after the devices left the company's control. Currently, Ledger has asked authorized resellers and distributors in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong to suspend sales and conduct sample inspections of inventory and retail channel devices, and no other tampered devices have been found.
In addition, Ledger has required authorized resellers not to resell any returned devices, even if the packaging is intact; it has also immediately prohibited displaying products on shelves or in display areas, requiring devices to be stored at the back of the store and handed over at the time of purchase. The company is working with law enforcement agencies and the security community to trace the stolen funds and will disclose more technical details in the future.
Odaily Report: Pirate Chain has released an update on its investigation into the exploit incident. On October 14, a transaction verification vulnerability was discovered in the Pirate Chain source code, which led to the unauthorized creation of approximately 39.8 million ARRR, increasing the total token supply by about 20%. These newly generated tokens were subsequently transferred into the Sapling privacy pool. After NonKYC detected suspicious deposits, it restricted the relevant accounts and blocked withdrawals. This exploit involved the failure of two verification steps: first, bypassing the inflation check, and second, incorrectly parsing the output script.

Odaily News: Pump.fun co-founder alon posted on X platform stating that since Pump's Custom Pairs feature launched last month, approximately $5.9 million worth of PUMP has exited circulation, representing 0.33% of the current circulating supply. This mainly includes tokens locked in liquidity pools, burned tokens, and tokens held in protocol fee wallets.
He noted that if PUMP-related trading pair activity maintains its current level, on an annualized basis, the amount of PUMP exiting circulation each year would be equivalent to approximately 3.35% of the current circulating supply. Additionally, he believes that as on-chain trading activity grows, Custom Pairs could bring more trading volume and buy-side demand to smaller-cap meme coins and other on-chain tokens.
