US International Trade Commission Investigates Micron and Multiple Server Manufacturers Over Memory Products

Odaily News: The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) has voted to launch an investigation into a major type of memory product manufactured by Micron Technology (MU.O)—dynamic random-access memory (DRAM)—as well as multiple server manufacturers that use these chips in their products.

The federal agency stated that the investigation is based on a complaint filed on behalf of Netlist, a memory supplier based in Irvine, California. The complaint alleges that the companies in question violated U.S. federal tariff law, accusing certain DRAM devices and products containing them of being imported and sold in the United States in infringement of the company's patents. In addition to Micron, the USITC said it will also investigate server manufacturers Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Super Micro Computer, and Lenovo Group.

For further investigation, law enforcement officers can, with a single click, transfer the results — including analytical reasoning and on-scene case number records — into Elliptic's screening and forensic tracing tools, or integrate them into their own agency workflows. Wall Street Assesses U.S. Election Risk: AI Trades in Focus

Odaily News: The U.S. midterm elections are emerging as a key source of concern for the stock market at a time when AI-driven trades are surging. Polls and prediction market results over the past few weeks have clearly favored the Democrats, increasingly suggesting that they could regain control of at least one chamber of Congress.

Wall Street strategists point out that such an outcome could pressure stocks that have benefited from the AI boom; these stocks tend to carry lofty valuations with very little margin for error, and future investigations, hearings, or even stricter regulatory measures could all serve as headwinds.

Brian Mulberry, Chief Market Strategist at Zacks Investment, said that if Democrats perform strongly in the November elections, hearings on AI safety issues could increase in both number and prominence, and news out of Washington could trigger trader concerns about congressional action, leading to volatility in AI-related sectors.

Tobin Marcus, a strategist at Wolfe Research, expects that Democrats may establish a "Special Committee on AI" to question industry executives and potentially issue subpoenas.

Odaily News: Digital asset investment firm RockawayX will deploy $150 million through its Catapult program to provide venture capital, product structuring, liquidity, market-making, and distribution support for projects bringing real-world yield assets into DeFi. The program will focus on areas including trade and supply chain finance, special asset-backed securities, CLOs, and real estate-related credit.

RockawayX CEO Viktor Fischer said that after trading, "yield" could become the largest use case onchain, and that new yield sources with annualized returns exceeding 12% and uncorrelated to crypto market trends will be needed in the future. Fischer also noted that the challenge with real-world assets (RWAs) is not tokenization itself, but rather the buyers, trading venues, and exit mechanisms after assets are tokenized. (CoinDesk)

Bank of America Securities Reiterates Meta "Buy" Rating, $810 Price Target

It will also be integrated into smart glasses in the future and gradually expand across Meta's products and Reality Labs devices, potentially addressing the shortcomings of its hardware in smart assistant functionality.

On the monetization front, Meta plans to charge commissions on transactions completed through Muse, adding a new revenue stream. However, the company has not yet officially set a commission rate, and the related revenue contribution remains at an early stage. The scale of monetization and conversion effectiveness still require further observation.

US SEC Commissioner: Zero-Knowledge Proofs Can Verify User Eligibility Without Disclosing Personal Information

Odaily reports that U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Commissioner Hester Peirce, speaking at the SIFMA Digital Assets Conference, stated that regulators should re-examine traditional financial surveillance methods and shift from "collecting more data" to using new technologies for more precise verification. She said that technologies such as zero-knowledge proofs can verify whether users meet requirements related to age, citizenship, accredited investor status, or sanctions lists without disclosing personal information such as name, income, or address; federal agencies and regulated entities can adopt attribute-based verification when technically feasible, and allow registered entities to rely more on third-party identity verification to reduce redundant collection and storage of sensitive information.

Hester Peirce: Society Is at a Crossroads, and the Financial System Faces Two Paths

Odaily: Galaxy's head of research posted on X that Hester Peirce said society is currently at a crossroads: one path is to maintain the status quo—collecting more data, strengthening surveillance by intermediaries, and adding more "Know Your Customer" requirements, turning financial infrastructure into a panopticon; the other path is to leverage new technologies to improve the ability to catch criminals while collecting less personal information, and to protect Americans' privacy through more prudent surveillance.
