Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Has Remained Below Its All-Time High for 374 Consecutive Days, Setting the Longest Record

Odaily reports: Bitcoin mining difficulty has remained below the all-time high of 155.97T set on October 29, 2025, for 374 consecutive days, marking the longest streak in Bitcoin network history, surpassing the 364 days following the 2011 market crash and the 253 days after China's mining ban in 2021.

Economist Saifedean Ammous stated that even the 95% Bitcoin price drawdown in 2011 and China's mining ban in 2021 did not cause such a prolonged period of depressed mining difficulty.

Data shows that Bitcoin mining difficulty dropped to 124.93T in mid-June 2026, approximately 20% below its peak, before rebounding to 148.36T in October. However, Mempool.space estimates that the next difficulty adjustment will occur around November 13, at which point difficulty may decline by approximately 3.7% again. (Bitcoin.com)
