Hyperliquid Strategies Subsidiary Applies for FCM Registration, Aims to Bring Perpetual Contracts to the U.S.
Odaily reports: Digital asset management company Hyperliquid Strategies stated that its subsidiary has applied to become a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), aiming to bring Hyperliquid-based perpetual contract markets to the United States. Both the application and the proposed market are subject to regulatory approval.
Hyperliquid's HIP-3 framework allows operators to deploy customized perpetual contract markets on the protocol's on-chain infrastructure. The proposed feature would also support the creation of permissioned markets accessible only to approved addresses. Hyperliquid Strategies stated that the subsidiary will handle U.S. client accounts for permissioned markets deployed on Hyperliquid.
Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) announced on October 29 a agreement with Trade[XYZ] to bring Hyperliquid-based perpetual markets to the United States, and plans to operate dedicated markets and clearing structures; this plan is likewise subject to regulatory approval. (Cointelegraph)
