US's first tribal land sports contract injunction against Kalshi explicitly covers two tribes' lands

Odaily reports: On November 4, Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California granted a preliminary injunction prohibiting prediction market platform Kalshi Inc. and its affiliated entity KalshiEX from offering sports event-related contracts on the Indian lands of the Blue Lake Rancheria and the Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians. This injunction is the first US tribal land sports contract injunction against Kalshi; the two tribes must provide land boundary maps to Kalshi by November 13, 2026, and Kalshi must submit a compliance progress report to the court within 21 days after the injunction is issued.
