Funds Recovered, Myriad Markets Says Internal Wallet Compromise Led to 10 Prediction Markets Being Voided

Odaily: According to Myriad Markets monitoring, on October 26, attackers exploited a compromised internal wallet to manipulate the outcomes of 10 prediction markets on BNB Chain. Myriad Markets has voided the affected markets and promised to refund both long and short positions at the last price of each outcome before the attack occurred, with any falsely claimed profits to be deducted. Myriad Markets stated that the funds have been recovered and that the attackers did not withdraw any funds. The affected markets included whether Base will issue a token in 2026, the U.S. midterm elections, cryptocurrency and commodity prices, and whether George Russell will win the 2026 F1 Drivers' Championship. Myriad Markets attributed the key exposure to a vulnerability in an unnamed third-party library used by its backend services, and stated that the exposure had occurred several weeks earlier.
