Data Center Operator DayOne Reassesses US IPO Plans

Odaily reports: According to people familiar with the matter, as volatility in the data center sector intensifies, DayOne Data Centers is reassessing its US IPO plans and may delay its listing or reduce the offering size. The people said that Singapore-based DayOne has been waiting for the right moment to launch its IPO and is also considering postponing the offering until the market stabilizes. Other options include scaling down the offering to raise $2.5 billion to $3 billion, roughly half of its original target.

The people said DayOne is still engaging with potential investors and hopes to move ahead with the listing as soon as market conditions permit. It was previously reported that the company initially considered raising up to $5 billion through an IPO as early as the fourth quarter, targeting a valuation of about $20 billion. The people said discussions are ongoing, DayOne has not made a final decision, and the company may still choose to proceed with the IPO in the coming weeks. DayOne declined to comment.
