Musk: SpaceX and Tesla's Terafab project aims to achieve chip mass production in 2028

Odaily reports: Musk stated on the SpaceX conference call that Terafab, a chip manufacturing joint venture established by SpaceX and Tesla, plans to achieve mass production in the third quarter of 2028. Terafab's internal goal is to produce its first test chip using static random-access memory (SRAM) circuitry at its R&D base in Austin around May or June of next year, and to have it function properly.
