Korean stock market closes at over six-month low; analysts warn market concerns have yet to dissipate
Odaily reports: On Tuesday, South Korean stocks fell more than 3%, closing at their lowest level in over six months. Chip stocks broadly weakened amid concerns related to the global artificial intelligence (AI) investment boom. After rebounding for two consecutive trading sessions, the KOSPI fell 215.27 points, or 3.73%, on Tuesday to close at 5,552.74, marking its lowest closing level since April 7.
Lee Kyoung-min, an analyst at Daishin Securities, said: "The sustainability of the recent rebound is limited, as concerns over credit and profitability surrounding AI investments have not yet been fully dispelled." (Jinshi)
