ESMA Adds BingX and YouHodler to MiCA Register, Registered Providers Rise to 375
Odaily reports: The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has updated the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) register, adding 9 new crypto-asset service providers (CASPs), including BingX's Austrian entity MEGE zweite, bringing the number of independently registered CASPs to 375.
The register also includes the Italian subsidiary of crypto lending platform YouHodler, which has been authorized to provide custody, crypto-asset trading, order execution, and transfer services. Openbank Deutschland, the German subsidiary of Banco Santander's Openbank, is also on the newly added list.
Spain's Prakma Markets and Germany's VR-Bank Alb-Blau-Donau and VR Bank im südlichen Franken have likewise been added to the register. Denmark's Penning Financial Services no longer appears on the latest list.
The electronic money token (EMT) register still contains 50 records involving 25 independent entities; the asset-referenced token (ART) register remains empty. The non-compliant crypto-asset service provider (NCASP) register increased by 5 entries to 178. (Cointelegraph)
