Staking rewards switched to direct on-chain distribution, IoTeX mainnet completes Zanzibar hard fork

Odaily: DePIN + AI open ecosystem platform IoTeX has announced that its Zanzibar hard fork has gone live on the mainnet. Under proposal IIP-59, voter staking rewards are now calculated and distributed directly on-chain by the protocol in each reward cycle, eliminating the need for off-chain services or intermediaries, and anyone can verify each payment directly from the chain. The first on-chain distribution will take place tomorrow. Zanzibar also strengthens the consensus mechanism through delegated key ownership proof checks, paving the way for subsequent BLS signature aggregation.
