Anthropic Co-founder: AI Could Push US GDP to $44 Trillion, Leaving Humanity Only a Few Years to Prepare Defenses

Odaily reports that Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark has warned that artificial intelligence could drive US GDP from roughly $30 trillion to $44 trillion, but humanity may have only a few years to establish effective safety safeguards to ensure AI does not exceed human control.

Jack Clark also specifically cautioned that AI could trigger a so-called "singularity," and called for global rules to prevent AI from being misused in biological research and cyber weapon development.
