South Korea's KOSPI index opened higher, with both SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics up over 2%

According to Odaily, citing Gate data, South Korea's KOSPI index opened up 96.45 points, or 1.74%, at 5,650.67 on Friday, October 16. Both SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics rose over 2%.
