Polygon Labs Completes Acquisition of Coinme, Payment Platform Now Covers 48 U.S. States

Odaily reports: According to the official Polygon blog, Polygon Labs has announced the completion of its acquisition of cryptocurrency trading and payments company Coinme, thereby granting its payment infrastructure product Polygon Open Money Stack (OMS) the capability to offer compliant payment services in the United States.

Currently, the platform operates across 48 U.S. states, holds 37 state-level money transmitter licenses and 11 exemptions, and is registered with the U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) as a money services business.

OMS integrates fiat on-ramps and off-ramps with wallet technology, enabling enterprises to receive funds in multiple forms, settle via stablecoins, and withdraw in local fiat currency. This transaction is part of Polygon Labs' $250 million acquisition plan announced in January 2026, which also includes the previously completed acquisition of Sequence.
