Xu Mingxing Slams CZ: Binance Claims Voluntary $800 Million Compensation, Ignores Massive Market Losses

Odaily News: OKX CEO Xu Mingxing posted on the X platform, criticizing CZ's recent remarks regarding compensation for Binance users.

Previously, CZ stated in an interview that Binance had allocated approximately $800 million to compensate users harmed on the platform, despite the platform having no obligation to do so. He also claimed that the public tends to focus on negative news about Binance, but during the related controversy, Binance still maintained net capital inflows, suggesting that community sentiment may have been manipulated while capital flows better reflect the actual situation.

In response, Star questioned CZ's characterization of the compensation as a voluntary act, arguing that the previous market crash had already caused tens of billions of dollars in losses, dealing a severe blow to a large number of investors, and that the compensation should not be used as a reason for self-praise, sarcastically calling him "the Yue Buqun of the crypto world."
