Crypto Market Declines Across the Board, AI Sector Drops 5.09%, BTC Falls Below $81,000 Intraday
Odaily News: On October 9, according to SoSoValue data, the crypto market declined across the board, with 24-hour drops generally ranging from about 2% to 6%. The AI sector fell 5.09%, with Bittensor (TAO), Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL), and Venice Token (VVV) dropping 7.27%, 8.34%, and 10.24% respectively, while SoSoValue (SOSO) bucked the trend with a 13.11% gain.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin (BTC) fell 1.55%, dropping below $81,000 intraday; Ethereum (ETH) declined 3.88%, falling below $2,500.
In other sectors, the Layer2 sector dropped 1.47% over 24 hours, but Starknet (STRK) rose 21.98%; the PayFi sector fell 3.90%, with Zcash (ZEC) declining 9.71%; the DeFi sector dropped 3.97%, with Uniswap (UNI) falling 7.94%; the CeFi sector declined 4.23%, with OKB dropping 5.93%; the Meme sector fell 4.58%, while 币安人生 (币安人生) remained relatively resilient, surging 7.15% intraday; the Layer1 sector dropped 4.96%, with NEAR Protocol (NEAR) falling 12.46%.
Crypto sector indices reflecting historical sector performance show that the ssiAI, ssiMeme, and ssiNFT indices declined 7.15%, 5.41%, and 4.89% respectively.
