3 Crypto Tax Amendments Passed by French National Assembly Finance Committee, Including Measures Such as Taxation on Stablecoin Conversion Transactions

Odaily News: The French National Assembly Finance Committee proposed 10 crypto-related amendments during its review of the 2027 budget bill, with deliberations ongoing since October 7. So far, 3 have been passed and 1 has been rejected. Among them, measures including taxation on stablecoin conversion transactions, an exit tax on crypto assets, and a 10-year carryforward of crypto asset losses have been approved; the proposal to extend the personal wealth tax to crypto assets was rejected, while certain self-custodial wallet reporting requirements and platform penalty measures remain under deliberation. None of the above measures have officially become law yet and still require further review.
