Odaily reports, according to ICANN's official announcement, the new round of generic top-level domain (gTLD) applications received a total of 1,615 submissions, with AI-related domains becoming a focal point of competition. Among them, the .agent domain attracted 13 applicants, including OpenAI, Meta, Google's registry, and iPollo. OpenAI applied for 15 top-level domains in total, covering .gpt, .chatgpt, and others; Anthropic applied for .claude. In addition, crypto-related domains such as .btc and .bnb also received multiple applications.
