Taiko Bridge Upgrade: Proposal 39 Completed Execution and Now Supports Permit, Permit2, and Increased Gas Limits
Odaily reports that Proposal 39 of Ethereum Layer 2 network Taiko has passed the community veto window and completed execution on both Ethereum L1 and Taiko L2. Following the upgrade, the ERC20Vault of the Taiko bridge now supports Permit and Permit2, allowing users to bridge tokens without initiating a separate Approve transaction; the Ether gas payment limit of the Taiko bridge has also been raised, and a new BridgedERC20V2 template has been deployed on both L1 and L2. Taiko stated that the related features have completed end-to-end testing, covering ETH, ERC20, ERC721, and ERC1155 assets as well as bidirectional bridging scenarios.
