Solana stablecoin holding addresses surpass 14 million, supply exceeds $15 billion
Odaily News: The number of stablecoin holding addresses on the Solana blockchain network has exceeded 14.02 million, hitting a record high and marking a significant increase from fewer than 4 million at the end of 2024. Solana's stablecoin supply has surpassed $15 billion, with cumulative stablecoin card transaction volume breaking through $1 billion.
The Solana Foundation launched Solana DvP on October 6, an open-source delivery-versus-payment framework designed to synchronize the settlement of tokenized assets and cash within a single atomic transaction. The system employs an escrow isolation mechanism, aiming to complete settlement within seconds and reduce the risk of one party completing a transaction while the other fails.
J.P. Morgan provided input on institutional settlement needs during the development period. The audited Solana DvP standard is applicable to tokenized stocks, funds, and other real-world assets. (Bitcoin.com News)
