Bitcoin's best trading days are hard to predict: excluding the best 15 trading days over the past three years, cumulative returns turn into an 11% loss
Odaily reports that Zach Pandl posted on the X platform stating that Bitcoin's cumulative return over the past three years was approximately 225%, while the Nasdaq's return over the same period was about 109%, but BTC's gains were highly concentrated in a small number of trading days. If the best 5, 10, and 15 trading days over the past three years are excluded, BTC's cumulative return would drop to 95%, 27%, and an 11% loss, respectively; by contrast, the Nasdaq's cumulative return would still be 21% after excluding its best 15 trading days. Pandl pointed out that over the past three years, fewer than 0.5% of trading days contributed gains large enough to reduce BTC's cumulative return by more than half, and BTC's best trading days cannot be reliably predicted.
