Over $3.8 Million Involved, NEAR Intents Confirms Attack and Promises Full Compensation
Odaily News — According to monitoring by ZachXBT, NEAR Intents has issued a security notice confirming an attack, with a preliminary investigation indicating that the vulnerability stemmed from flaws in the interaction between Omni's deposit and withdrawal infrastructure and its contracts. NEAR Intents has completed the contract vulnerability fix, expects to restore core services within 1 hour, and has promised full compensation for affected assets. Deposits and withdrawals on multiple public chains including BSC, Polygon, and TON will be additionally suspended for approximately 12 hours. The case has been reported to authorities and on-chain tracing has been initiated. Multiple abnormal outflows occurred from NEAR Intents' BSC hot wallet, with the stolen funds transferred to KuCoin and bridged to the Bitcoin network, involving an amount exceeding $3.8 million.
