Singapore's Crypto Economy Reaches $284 Billion as Institutional Platform Activity Grows 94%
According to Odaily, data from blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis shows that in the year ending June 2026, Singapore's crypto economy grew 55.4% to $284 billion, reclaiming its position as the largest crypto economy in Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania.
Institutional platform activity grew 94% to $60 billion, concentrated among a small number of market makers, OTC trading firms, and institutional brokers, while the region's overall crypto economy declined 6.8% during the same period.
The Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam recorded a combined 5.4 million peer-to-peer transfers under $10,000, accounting for 14.4% of the global total. All three countries saw higher cross-border stablecoin activity than domestic activity, with regional cross-border volume at 3.2 times the domestic level. (Cointelegraph)
