HSBC Officially Names Its Stablecoin "HSBC RedCoin," Initially Focusing on P2P and P2M Payments
Odaily News: HSBC has announced that its upcoming stablecoin will be officially named "HSBC RedCoin." HSBC stated that it will roll out the product in phases, with the first phase focusing on person-to-person and person-to-merchant payments, and subsequent expansion into commercial banking and corporate segments. In April of this year, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority granted the first batch of Hong Kong dollar stablecoin issuer licenses to HSBC and Anchorpoint Financial under Standard Chartered; HSBC previously said it plans to officially launch the Hong Kong dollar stablecoin in the second half of this year.
