SK Hynix has begun foundation work for a wafer fab in Japan

According to industry sources, SK Hynix (SKHY.O) has started preliminary foundation work for a semiconductor wafer fab in the Tohoku region of Japan. It is not yet clear whether this will be an independently operated wafer fab or a joint venture with Kioxia. (SME Daily)
