US SEC Poised to Adjust KYC Requirements, Onchain Tokenized Securities May Only Require One-Time Identity Verification
Odaily reports that Andy, founder of The Rollup, posted that according to sources, the U.S. SEC is preparing to adjust KYC requirements so that users only need to complete KYC verification once when accessing onchain tokenized securities.
The source also stated that the new arrangement may enhance composability across different onchain trading venues and tokenization platforms, allowing users to split orders and execute transactions across multiple trading venues through a zero-knowledge proof-based identity system. The relevant adjustments have not yet been officially confirmed by the SEC.
