Ondo Stocks Launches Physical Conversion Between Stocks and Tokenized Assets, Adds Primary Market Issuance Channel

Odaily News: Ondo has announced that Ondo Stocks now supports physical conversion between underlying stocks and tokenized stocks and ETFs, and has added a primary market issuance channel through Alpaca's Instant Tokenization Network (ITN). Eligible institutions can use existing stock assets to mint corresponding Ondo Stocks tokens, or redeem tokens to obtain the corresponding underlying stocks; the process is completed through internal book transfers, without the need for manual approval on a per-transaction basis. This feature is currently only available to institutions that have been reviewed and approved by Alpaca, hold valid accounts with both Ondo and Alpaca, and have completed the relevant account opening and approval processes. It is now live on Ethereum and BNB Chain.
