Two illegal crypto mining farms busted within a week in Paraguay, 35 mining machines seized
Odaily reports that Paraguayan authorities busted two illegal crypto mining facilities within a week in Alto Paraná Department, seizing a total of 35 mining machines. The mining farm raided on September 17 was illegally drawing electricity through lines without installed meters, and 10 ASIC mining machines were confiscated, with related fees and fines totaling approximately $30,000; another operation on September 12 seized 25 mining machines. Paraguay's Chamber of Deputies has passed a resolution requiring the National Electricity Administration (ANDE) to submit a report on electricity consumption, electricity rates, and regulatory conditions of the crypto mining industry.
