UK FCA and Other Authorities Raid 3 Suspected Illegal Crypto Trading Venues, Order Cessation of Operations

Odaily News: The UK Financial Conduct Authority, together with HM Revenue & Customs and the Metropolitan Police, conducted raids at multiple locations in London targeting 3 suspected illegal peer-to-peer crypto trading venues, and issued cessation notices to the relevant operators, requiring them to immediately terminate unregistered crypto operations.

The FCA stated that anyone engaging in peer-to-peer crypto buying and selling as a business in the UK must complete anti-money laundering registration; currently, there are no FCA-registered peer-to-peer crypto trading businesses in the UK.
